I would like to thank everyone for coming tonight. We are excited for each of you to be a part of the beginning of this new phase of our healthy chocolate businesses. Kristen Overton, Natalie Erickson, Mieka Barlow and I have been working together to create a phenomenal women’s meeting. We wanted this meeting to empower women from all walks of life, and inspire them to build the business to the degree that suits them best.
First I would like to suggest a book for you all to read called MLM Women by Susan Sly & Suzan Hart. You can pick it up or order it online with Sound Concepts at www.chocolatebixtools.com. Some of the chapters go over Creating a schedule that works, Developing your story, Prospecting, The importance of sales tools and Closing the deal, just to name a few. I highly recommend it for a new female business partner, to get a jump on the industry, and get started right.
Now, as to the why we created this meeting……….. Kristen, Natalie, Mieka and I all had a few common goals.
1. Build this business in our own way, meaning our husband’s also do the business but we wanted to create, train, build, and make money using our powerful strengths as women.
2. We all wanted to assist women in particular to build this business. We as women have many roles, whether it is taking care of a husband, household, children, furthering our education or a career. We are always busy. We need to take the time to nurture and develop our own talents and abilities. “We” knew if we spent some time setting and achieving goals for ourselves, we would actually be better wives, mothers, friends, sisters, daughters and career women.
3. Networking- as women we do this naturally. There is nothing better than getting out there and meeting new people. Developing business relationships and friendships. We always feel better when we sincerely care for someone and even better, help them to achieve their goals. “ As women we are indeed very passionate when it comes to sharing our likes, dislikes and feelings. When we love something we tell a few people. When we are upset or dislike something, we tell several people. In fact, as women we tend to live longer because we express our emotions. According to Dr. John Gray, author of Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus, women actually boost their serotonin or ‘happy chemical’ when they talk to other women. It is no wonder that 82% of the network marketing industry in America is women driven.” That passage is from the book.
4. Taking some more from the book, MLM Women, - Network marketing can free families and liberate women all over the world if you know how to do this business. From a story in the book about the turning point of a successful network marketing women, she stated, “ I vowed that never again would I leave my financial security in the hands of someone else.” - -- No matter what is happening with the economy women will continue to do what they have done for millennia – we will refer our friends, neighbors and families to the things we love. One thing to let prospects know is that in times like these you always want to make sure you have multiple streams of income, so if one goes down there are others helping to support you and your family. I know for myself the security aspect of generating an income aside from my husband’s brings me great comfort. Now that I am home being a mom, Network marketing is the best avenue to take to create that income.
This meeting was created not to take away from other meetings, trainings or phone calls, but to add a special place for women to come and feel a bond with everyone else working towards similar goals. In society today, it is hard to be a women and feel truly confident, secure, and powerful. This meeting will empower each of you to do more with your business and the new people we bring into this business will feel the power in themselves to reach and achieve their goals. We will be having exciting events, with guest speakers, trainings, websites and more catered to us as women. I am personally excited and energized by knowing what potential we all have to be and do more.
